What is rattan
The rattan from which our bags are made is a peeled and dried stalk of rattan palm, a tropical plant growing in Southeast Asia.
Rattan products are famous for their reliability and durability.
In the manufacture of products from rattan trunks, the bark is removed, then the peeled stems are calibrated in diameter (standard rattan sizes are usually a multiple of 0.5 inch). After steaming, rattan bends well, then weave it when dried.
